    Head of Insights & Co-Founder

Kate Reed is an AI operator, customer strategist, and company builder who turns complex data and emerging technology into products, insights, and systems that create measurable business value.

Kate is Co-Founder and Head of Insights at the AI-Driven Enterprise Institute (AIDE), a data and research company that provides corporate boards and executives with actionable intelligence on enterprise AI adoption. She helps translate AIDE’s proprietary data into decision-ready research, market narratives, strategic partnerships, and commercial opportunities. The Institute’s research infrastructure currently spans more than 500,000 source documents, 10,000 executive profiles, and 270 million words of corporate evidence.

AIDE’s research has informed work with organizations including Accenture and the Royal Academy of Engineering and has been covered by Bloomberg and CNN Business. Kate brings an operator’s perspective to that research, connecting what companies say about AI with how the technology affects customers, employees, operating models, and enterprise value.

She is also the founder of MAKR, where she develops AI agents and transformation frameworks for Customer Success organizations. MAKR’s purpose-built agents help teams improve renewals, identify churn risk, standardize customer workflows, and scale execution without relying solely on additional headcount. Kate created the MAKR AI Transformation Staircase, a staged approach that helps customer organizations move from isolated experimentation to measurable, operational AI adoption.

Kate has been recognized for making agentic AI practical and accessible to business teams. She was named Agent of the Year at New York Tech Week and has been recognized by Agent.ai as an Agent of the Week winner, featured builder, and nominee for Best Overall Agent. Her Website Customer Experience Audit agent has been used thousands of times. She also leads workshops that teach operators and customer teams how to build and apply AI agents to real business problems.

Before founding MAKR and AIDE, Kate led Customer Experience at Commsor, where she oversaw Customer Success and Support and shaped the company’s end-to-end customer journey. At HubSpot, she managed and grew a $3.6 million mid-market book of annual recurring revenue, delivered 109% revenue retention, and advised customers on marketing automation, sales enablement, customer service, and digital strategy. Her earlier work included customer experience, client services, and digital programs for brands including Marriott and Virgin.

Across nearly 15 years in customer-facing and operational roles, Kate has built a reputation for seeing what customers need, translating it into a system a company can scale, and getting teams to adopt it. She has led customer organizations, built AI products, created operating frameworks, taught practitioners, and turned proprietary research into stories that influence executive decisions.

Kate’s value lies in the combination. She understands the customer, can build the system, can interpret the data, and can make the market understand why it matters.
